10 free spelling and writing tools

There are a staggering number of free software tools out there. Here are my favourites which I recommend to my clients.

1. Ghotit (Windows, free online service)

This is a very helpful plugin for Microsoft Word which is written for people with dyslexia. It uses a contextual spell checker, which means that it will catch more mistakes than traditional spell checkers. Even if you don't use Microsoft Word you might also find this free online service of value.

Very helpful service. Samantha has helped me to write lots of letters at short notice and also my CV and job applications. She is very friendly and is available at short notice. I am glad I found her to help me. Thank you.

I used English Proofreading recently for the checking of my Ph.D. thesis. I found the service very thorough and Samantha has an excellent eye for detail in particular. On the basis of my experience with my Doctorate I have sent book chapters and articles to Samantha to be proofread and intend on using her in the future as well. I would most definitely recommend her to anyone!
